Windows 98を新規インストール [Win98 ++0] 2013-10-06 23:50:53 | Win9x-NT. 自作PCユーザー向けにWindows 98の制限、ハードウェア準備、インストール方法などを解説。古いホームページが消えゆく中 Win98に関する情報も減りつつあるので、ここにいろいろとメモってみる。 編集部追記：Windows 7のISOイメージファイルは、メーカー製PCなどのプリインストール版プロダクトキーでは、ダウンロードできない場合があります。 Windows 98 をインストールしたいと思い、CD-ROM を入れて再起動したのですがCDブートしてくれませんでした。起動ディスクが必要なのかもしれませんが今使っているPCにはフロッピーディスクドライブがありせません。 ただし、Windows 98→Windows 98SP1→IE5.5SP2→DirectX9.0bの順でローカルインストール後、 Windows Updateで表示された「重要な更新と Service Pack」(計26個)のみ。 ※「Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1」を除く。 表示されたページにある「Platform」>「Windows 64bitのWindows Installer」リンクからインストーラー「VirtualBox-6.0.8-110520-Win.exe」をダウンロードします。 インストーラーのファイル名は2019年7月現在のものになります。 このパッケージはWindows 98専用のアップグレード版です。 「Windows 98ユーザー限定」とあるのでWin98インストール済みのPCが必要に思えますが、普通のアップグレード版と同様、Win98(またはWin98SE)のセットアップCDがあれば技術的にはまっさらなPCへの新規 Windowsの場合は予めインストール用のディスクからisoのイメージファイルを用意しておく必要があります。 Macの場合は最初にOSをダウンロードしておく必要がありますが、導入までの手順が複雑で情報も少ないため、Macは初心者にはおすすめできません。
